The favicon.ico should be 16x16 pixels.

I have a favicon installed, but it's not on a transparent background. It's got an ugly white square around it. Do you know how I can fix this? Thank you.

Yes, this blogger favicon works perfectly, I use it without file .ico but i can use it by putting file .png, it's great.
